Abstract:Diplomsko delo raziskuje, kako mladostniki dojemajo in prepoznavajo medijske vsebine, ustvarjene z umetno inteligenco, ter v kolikšni meri jim zaupajo.

Title:Adolescents' perception of content created with the help of artificial intelligence systems
Abstract:The thesis explores how adolescents perceive and recognize media content created with artificial intelligence, and to what extent they trust it. Although some young people are digitally literate, the majority are still not, and therefore often do not understand how artificial intelligence works, making them more exposed to false content on social media. The research was conducted at Sveta Trojica Primary School and included 27 students from the 8th and 9th grades, who first completed a survey before the educational workshop. Afterwards, they participated in a training session on recognizing artificial intelligence in the media, which I conducted myself. After the training, which lasted three school hours per class, the students once again answered the survey questionnaire and evaluated various media contents based on their origin. The results showed an improved ability to recognize AI-generated content and increased critical thinking in their assessment. The thesis emphasizes the importance of education as a key tool for developing digital literacy and conscious use of AI among young people, while also highlighting the need for greater involvement of parents and schools in raising awareness about the advantages and pitfalls of modern technologies.
Keywords:artificial intelligence, digital literacy, AI perception, critical thinking, technological awareness of youth
