Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava investicijo v sončno elektrarno na večstanovanjski stavbi na izbrani lokaciji.

Title:Economic and technical feasibility of solar power systems in multi-residential buildings
Abstract:This thesis examines the investment in a solar power plant installed on a multi-apartment building at a selected location. In Slovenia, privately-owned solar power plants are predominantly installed on single-family houses, placing residents of multi-apartment buildings at a disadvantage. Due to spatial limitations, ownership structures, and management challenges, the integration of multi-residential communities into the energy transition is significantly more complex. The thesis analyses the legal possibilities for implementing community solar power plants, energy distribution relations, and the financial obligations arising from such projects. The viability of the investment is assessed based on real solar radiation data, considering average solar irradiation values for all four seasons, reduced by 15% to account for losses on cloudy days. The analysis is based on the actual electricity consumption of four households in 2023 and compares costs under both peak (higher) and off-peak (lower) tariffs. The study includes a calculation of the investment payback period, considering all key factors. The purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate the energy and economic viability of installing a solar power plant in a multi-apartment building environment.
Keywords:solar power plant, consumption per residential unit, produced energy, return on investment calculation, renewable energy sources
