| Abstract: | The company ALPO d. o. o. is engaged in the injection molding of plastic products. As market demands become increasingly complex and the demand for new products continues to grow, the company's current facilities are no longer sufficient. Therefore, the company has decided to invest in the construction of a new building to address the capacity shortage.
This master’s thesis presents the complete layout of the new building, including the setup of machines, transport paths, and warehouses. The objective is to optimize workflow, with the entire project supported by a financial analysis. By addressing this issue, the thesis contributes to a better understanding of spatial layouts, as well as the arrangement of machines, storage racks, and other production equipment. Furthermore, it provides the company with an overview of the costs associated with the project and offers insights useful for broader industrial practice.
For the technical part, the thesis applies methods for planning the optimal placement of machines, transport paths, and warehouses, complemented by the observation method to analyze the workflow in the existing hall. For the economic part, the thesis uses the NPV method (Net Present Value, for assessing investment profitability), the CBA method (Cost-Benefit Analysis, for comparing the economic benefits of the project with its costs), and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of changes in key factors on the project’s economic outcomes. |
