Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava uporabo pristopa informacijsko modeliranih gradenj (BIM) in koncepta digitalnega dvojčka na primeru obstoječe industrijske hale podjetja Cinkarna Celje.

Title:The use of digital twin to optimize the processes of design and facility management of building
Abstract:This master’s thesis examines the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the digital twin concept to the existing industrial hall of Cinkarna Celje. The primary objective of the research is to highlight opportunities for optimizing the design, operation, and maintenance of an industrial facility through advanced digital tools. A point cloud, acquired through laser scanning of the facility, served as the basis for the development of a digital twin, from which an accurate 3D BIM model was created using BricsCAD. The model was subsequently imported into Bexel Manager for further analysis and the creation of a 6D BIM model enriched with maintenance and asset-management information. This master's thesis explores whether the use of a digital twin enables the optimization of further design and maintenance of industrial facilities and systems. The functionality and applicability of Bexel Manager and Bexel CDE were analyzed with regard to complex industrial environments containing numerous pieces of equipment. The findings confirm that an accurate BIM model supports optimization of subsequent design work for the existing facility, while platforms such as Bexel Manager enhance visibility into facility systems and processes and enable more effective equipment management.
