Abstract:V diplomskem delu so obravnavani kadrovski izzivi, povezani s pomanjkanjem poklicnih voznikov v podjetju Bizjak Aleksander d. o. o. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene značilnosti kadrovanja v transportni dejavnosti in vloga kadrovske funkcije v sodobnih organizacijah. Podjetje uspešno zadržuje kader z mentorskim programom, konkurenčnim plačilom in vključevanjem zaposlenih v odločitve.

Title:Human resource challenges due to the shortage of professional drivers at bizjak aleksander d. o. o.
Abstract:The diploma thesis addresses human resource challenges caused by the shortage of professional drivers in the company Bizjak Aleksander d. o. o. The purpose of the research was to identify the causes and consequences of the driver shortage and to explore ways to motivate drivers to remain employed in the company. The theoretical part presents the specifics of HR management in the transport industry and the role of the HR function in modern organizations. The empirical part is based on a survey among professional drivers and an interview with the HR department. The results show high employee satisfaction with the working environment, relationships, and employment stability, but the main challenge remains attracting young drivers due to demanding working conditions and the negative social perception of the profession. The company successfully retains staff through a mentoring program, competitive pay, and employee involvement in decision-making. Key recommendations include stronger promotion of the profession among young people, more practical training in cooperation with schools, the development of HR analytics, and further improvements in mentoring.
