Title:Development of a sheet metal holder for flexible tubes for pouring into open containers
Abstract:In this master’s thesis, the development of a sheet metal holder for flexible tubes, intended for pouring liquids into open containers, is presented. The starting point of the thesis was the observation that the market lacks simple, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for stabilizing flexible tubes, which in practice often leads to spillage, material losses, and difficulties in operation. Particular emphasis was placed on the use in viticulture, where precise and safe wine transfer is of crucial importance. The thesis covers the entire product development process – from the initial concept and design to prototype manufacturing and practical testing. Several improvements were introduced during the process, such as an optimized cutout shape for increased stability, an adjustment of the attachment wings to fit various container edges, and an aesthetic element in the shape of a grape cluster, highlighting the product’s connection to viticulture. The results of the development demonstrate that the product combines functionality, ease of use, and cost efficiency, while also offering potential for use in a broader spectrum – from agriculture to the food industry. In addition to the technical aspects, the thesis also includes project, economic, and marketing analyses, thereby presenting a comprehensive approach from the initial idea to the potential introduction of the product to the market.
