V diplomski nalogi so podrobno predstavljene tri takšne skupine: Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front in Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Title:Eco-Terrorism as a tool of eco activists
Abstract:Aware that the state of the environment and the Earth is deteriorating, groups have emerged advocating for its protection by raising awareness of environmental issues and informing the public. Initially, they employed peaceful tactics such as campaigns, petition drives, public gatherings, and protests. However, as these methods failed to bring significant change and were met with the indifference of the ruling elite, other groups arose that adopted more radical approaches. These include sabotage, blockades, break-ins, and direct actions at sea. Their common goal is to protect nature and animals from destruction. This thesis presents in detail three such groups: the Earth Liberation Front, the Animal Liberation Front, and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. It describes their origins, ideological background, methods of operation, and notable actions. It also addresses the distinction between civil disobedience and acts that authorities and the media label as terrorism. The discussion highlights the question of whether such labeling stems from a genuine threat or from the protection of political and corporate interests. Special attention is given to the fact that these groups generally do not cause physical harm to people but instead target material property they view as tools of environmental destruction. The analysis also examines public opinion, particularly how the tactics of eco-terrorist groups can influence perceptions of whether their actions represent a legitimate form of protest or acts that fall within the framework of eco-terrorism.
