Aplikacija omogoča komunikacijo z industrijskimi krmilniki prek protokolov OPC UA in S7.Net ter prikazuje procesne podatke v razširjenem prostoru z uporabo mobilne naprave.

Title:Process visualization using augmented reality (AR)
Abstract:Modern Industry 5.0 technologies, such as Augmented Reality (AR), are increasingly shaping the transformation of manufacturing processes. Although still in an early stage of development, they are expected to become key enablers in the coming decade. Their applications cover a wide range of areas, including maintenance, assembly, training, and human–robot collaboration. This master’s thesis examines the role of Augmented Reality in Industry 5.0 and its impact on monitoring, control, and training within manufacturing environments. The first part provides an overview of existing research and industrial case studies, demonstrating measurable time savings, error reduction, and improved efficiency. Particular emphasis is placed on the current technological limitations of AR and the opportunities for further improvement. The second part presents the development process of a prototype AR application. The application enables communication with industrial controllers via OPC UA and S7.Net protocols and visualizes process data in augmented space using a mobile device.
