Abstract:V digitalni dobi, kjer podjetja stremijo k zniževanju stroškov, krajšanju časov in vsesplošni avtomatizaciji in optimizaciji postopkov, postaja uporaba ustrezne programske opreme za načrtovanje proizvodnje ključnega pomena.

Title:Analysis of computer-aided production planning systems
Abstract:In the digital age, where companies strive to reduce costs, shorten lead times and overall automation and optimization of processes, the use of appropriate production planning software is becoming crucial. There is a large number of advanced production planning software solutions on the market that offer diverse and scattered functions through brochures, documentation and websites, while their modularity and configuration can be unclear. Collecting all this data makes software analysis a time-consuming and ambiguous process. What further complicates the analysis is the fact that the data found on the internet is almost always marketing material that tells us everything the software has but not what it does not have. For companies such as start-ups or those wishing to migrate to new solutions in the field of production planning, a concise overview and mutual comparison of software in one place would be useful as guidelines for selecting the appropriate software according to the priorities, needs and effects of implementations that they put in the foreground. To enable a comprehensive overview and structured analysis we must design an analysis model with key functions that refer to the effects of implementations that the company will achieve by choosing an individual program. In the final analysis we evaluate and argue individual functions of the software solutions while also keeping in mind the limitations and the meaningfulness of the implementation of individual solutions for companies of different sizes and complexity. We will achieve this best if we upgrade the descriptive analysis at the end with a criteria matrix and SWOT analysis. Especially with the rapid development of artificial intelligence the advancement of solutions is increasing exponentially therefore even a general overview of the offer can represent an interesting insight into the current state and development trends in this field.
