Abstract:Električni skiroji, kot nova oblika mikromobilnosti, v zadnjem desetletju postajajo vedno bolj priljubljena oblika mestne osebne mobilnosti, še zlasti v današnjem času, ko se mesta vsakodnevno soočajo s problematiko prekomerne uporabe motornih vozil.

Title:Visual attention of electric scooters riders
Abstract:Electric scooters, as a new form of micromobility, have become an increasingly popular form of urban personal transport over the last decade, particularly at a time when cities are facing the problem of excessive motor vehicle use. Numerous studies examine the causes of traffic accidents, but few of them address the causes of traffic accidents from the perspective of visual attention. The empirical part of this master's thesis is divided into three parts. In the first and second parts, we investigated whether the experience of e-scooter users affects the duration of fixations in relation to the fixation area and which fixation area participants devote most of their visual attention to. In the third and final part, we examined whether the type of tyres (hard/soft) affects ride duration. During the field experiment, participants rode two different e-scooters while eye-tracking technology was used. The results were processed in Tobii Pro Lab, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. The main findings showed that, although some results indicated certain trends in fixation duration and differences in riding between e-scooters, the study did not confirm a clear influence of experience. This suggests that visual attention to fixation areas and riding efficiency do not depend solely on the level of experience, but rather on a combination of various factors.
