Abstract:V magistrski nalogi smo preučili izbrane morfološko-funkcionalne poteze (MFP) 41 rastlinskih vrst iz 27 popisov vzorčenih na štirih tipih travišč v Mariboru in okolici. Iz literature smo pridobili podatke o opraševalcih rastlinskih vrst. Skupno smo opravili 470 spektrofotometričnih meritev. Izvedli smo korelacijsko analizo, posplošen linearni model, korespondenčno analizo s odstranjenim trendom (DCA) in analizo glavnih komponent (PCA).

Title:Relationship between flower colour and abiotic factors in different grassland types
Abstract:In this master's thesis, we studied selected plant functional traits of 41 plant species collected from 27 samples across four grassland types in Maribor. These were extensive grassland, intensive grassland, urban ruderal grassland, and urban intensive grassland. Our primary focus was on the measured floral colour traits (reflectance, chroma, luminosity) in connection with plant functional traits, Ellenberg's indicator values, and disturbance indicator values. We obtained data on pollinators for each plant species. A total of 470 spectrophotometric flower colour measurements were conducted. Statistical analyses included correlation analysis, generalized linear model, detrended correspondence analysis (DCA) and principal component analysis (PCA). We found that yellow and white flower colours predominated across all four grassland types. Although we classified the habitats as differently stressed, it turned out, that the growing conditions were favourable in all sites. This was evident in the predominant competitor strategy on all sites, while, apart from the influence of nutrient availability on colour brightness, there were no significant correlations between flower chromaticity and: LDMC, disturbance values, light availability and temperature. With this thesis, we contributed to the development of a protocol for spectrophotometric flower colours measurements and established FNM's own database with reflectance spectra for selected species. This database can be further expanded and applied in the future studies on flower colour, pollinator vision and biodiversity studies.
