Abstract:Uvod: Narava dela medicinskih sester povečuje tveganje za pojavnost težav v duševnem zdravju. Iskali smo po podatkovnih bazah CINAHL, PubMed, MEDLINE in Web of Science.

Title:Mental health at work: developing integrated support programmes for nurses
Abstract:Introduction: The nature of nursing work increases the risk of mental health challenges. Globally, the need to support nurses’ mental health within the workplace is increasingly recognized. The aim of this study was to review the development of comprehensive support programs for nurses' mental health in their work environments. Methods: A review of scientific literature in English was conducted. Searches were performed across the databases CINAHL, PubMed, MEDLINE, and Web of Science. A quality assessment of all included studies was also carried out. Results: A total of 19 studies were included in the final analysis. One overarching theme was identified: "Comprehensive Workplace Mental Health Support Programs for Nurses." This was further divided into four subthemes: "Programs to Improve the Work Environment and Work Processes," "Programs Incorporating Relaxation and Creative Techniques," "Mindfulness-Based Programs for Mental Health Promotion," and "Digital Programs for Mental Health Improvement." Discussion and conclusion: Current interventions and support programs for nurses’ mental health are often limited in scope and tend to focus on a single dimension of well-being. The development of holistic and comprehensive mental health support programs has the potential to enhance nurses’ professional quality of life and, in turn, improve the quality of care delivered to patients.
