Title:System for cutting and transporting foams to the robot
Abstract:The thesis focuses on the development of a foam cutting system. The primary function of the system is to cut the foam at a precise distance in order to obtain the final product. This product is further used to ensure the buoyancy of panels that enable the construction of roads and even larger structures in areas where insufficient ground hardness would otherwise prevent it. The final result is a closed panel containing precisely cut foam inserts. Based on the specified requirements, market research, previous manufacturing processes, and cost limitations, a complete system was designed. The development process included the selection of standard components, dimensioning of the main elements, and 3D modeling. The thesis was carried out in cooperation with the company Roboteh d.o.o., which provided the necessary development data and requirements. The objective was to design a device capable of performing its tasks quickly, precisely, and within the defined cost constraints. Additionally, the system was required to ensure easy installation, adaptability, and availability of components.
