Abstract:Biatlonsko streljanje je kompleksen proces, na katerega vplivajo tehnični, psihološki, biomehanski in zunanji dejavniki. Ključni elementi uspešnega streljanja so telesna drža, nadzor dihanja, stabilnost, natančno merjenje in pravilno proženje.

Title:Analysis of biathletes' shooting performance (training versus competition)
Abstract:Biathlon shooting is a complex process influenced by technical, psychological, biomechanical, and external factors. Key elements of successful shooting include body posture, breath control, stability, precise aiming, and correct trigger execution. Psychological factors such as self-confidence, focus, and the ability to manage stress and anxiety play a crucial role, especially under demanding competitive conditions. Mental skills like visualization, breathing techniques, and meditation have been shown to improve shooting accuracy. External factors such as wind, snow conditions, course incline, and altitude affect physical fatigue, which in turn negatively impacts shooting performance. Biomechanical research shows that experienced biathletes achieve greater stability and precision. In the practical part of the thesis, I conducted my own analysis, which confirms these findings: athletes with higher self-confidence, better physical fitness, and well-developed adaptability to environmental conditions achieve better shooting results. It can be concluded that comprehensive preparation: technical, physical, and psychological has a decisive impact on a biathlete’s performance and enables optimal execution even in the most challenging conditions.
