Abstract:V diplomskem delu je bil obravnavan vpliv gospodarjenja na trajnem travinju severovzhodne Slovenije na kakovost krme z namenom ovrednotiti hranilno vrednost prvega in drugega zaporednega odkosa (seno, otava). Vzorci krme so bili posušeni, zmleti in analizirani z NIR-spektroskopijo v laboratoriju Kmetijskega inštituta Slovenije. Določene so bile vsebnosti surovih beljakovin (SB), surovih vlaken (SV), NDF, ADF, surovega pepela (SP) in neto energije za laktacijo (NEL).

Title:Quality and nutritional value of forage from permanent grasslands in northeastern slovenia
Abstract:This thesis addresses the impact of grassland managment on permanent grasslands and on the quality of forage in northeast Slovenia, with the aim of evaluating the nutritional value of the first and second consecutive cuttings (hay, haylage). Data on grassland type, slope, mowing time, drying time, turning, and storage were collected through a survey conducted from May to July 2017 on 21 farms located from Hoče to Oplotnica. During this period, hay and haylage samples were also collected. The survey revealed that 62% of the areas had a slope of up to 30% and all farms completed the first mowing by the end of May. The hay was typically dried for 48–72 hours and turned no more than three times. The forage samples were dried, ground and analyzed using NIR spectroscopy at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia. The contents of crude protein (CP), crude fiber (CF), NDF, ADF, ash and net energy for lactation (NEL) were determined. Statistically significant differences in forage quality between morning and evening mowing times, as well as between different drying times and turning frequencies, were not confirmed (p > 0.05). significant differences were only confirmed between the hay and haylage for CF (326.1 vs. 307.7 g/kg DM) and ADF (355.7 vs. 327.0 g/kg DM). The results indicate that moderate use intensity (2–3 mowings per year) combined with fewer turnings, results in the production of higher-quality forage. The second consecutive cut (haylage) was of higher quality, which is important when planning grassland use and preparing livestock rations.
