Literaturo smo iskali v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, Cochrane Library in ScienceDirect. Potek iskanja in pregled literature smo prikazali z diagramom poteka.

Title:Anxiety during venous blood collection
Abstract:Venous blood sampling is a diagnostic procedure that may induce discomfort, fear, or anxiety in some patients. Anxiety related to blood sampling is a common phenomenon that can affect patient cooperation, the course of the procedure, and the quality of the sample. Understanding the factors influencing the occurrence of anxiety, as well as the use of appropriate approaches by healthcare personnel, is crucial for providing safe and high-quality patient care. A descriptive literature review was performed using scientific and professional sources. Literature was searched in PubMed, Cochrane Library, and ScienceDirect. The PRISMA diagram was used to present the selection process, and the included studies were evaluated according to their level of evidence. A total of nine studies were included in the final analysis and synthesis. The review showed that major factors contributing to anxiety before blood sampling include fear of pain, previous negative experiences, sensitivity to invasive procedures, and insufficient information. Clear patient education, empathetic communication, and the use of relaxation techniques were identified as effective strategies for reducing anxiety and improving patient cooperation. Relaxation techniques support psychological well-being during venous blood sampling by enhancing the patient’s sense of control and improving their overall experience. Incorporating psychological preparation and supportive communication into routine clinical practice contributes to safer and more effective diagnostic procedures.
