V podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE in Web of Science. S pomočjo PRISMA diagrama smo prikazali postopek pregleda in izbora literature.

Title:The Role of early rehabilitation in recovery afterhip fracture in the elderly
Abstract:Introduction: Early rehabilitation after hip fracture plays a crucial role in improving treatment outcomes among older patients. The purpose of this study was to determine how early rehabilitation after hip fracture affects the reduction of complication risk in elderly patients. Methods: A literature review was conducted focusing on studies examining the effects of early rehabilitation in individuals aged over 65 years. The search was performed in the databases PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, and Web of Science. The PRISMA diagram was used to present the process of literature selection. The JBI methodology was applied for critical appraisal of research quality. Data were summarized using an evaluation table and a synthesis table. Results: Nine studies of different methodological levels were included in the final analysis. The findings confirm that rehabilitation initiated within the first 24 to 48 hours after surgery significantly reduces complications such as pneumonia, thrombosis, delirium, and pressure ulcers, while also shortening the length of hospital stay. Discussion and Conclusion: Early, multidisciplinary rehabilitation substantially improves functional recovery and quality of life in older adults following hip fracture. Despite proven effectiveness, further research is needed to standardize rehabilitation protocols and to assess the long-term effects on independence and mental health.
