Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil analizirati koordinacijo in nekatere telesne značilnosti pet do šest let starih otrok v občini Apače ter preveriti razlike v doseženi ravni koordinacije glede na spol in stopnjo hranjenosti.

Title:Analysis of coordination and certain physical characteristics of five- to six-year-old children in the municipality of Apače
Abstract:The aim of the thesis was to analyse coordination and certain physical characteristics of five- and six-year-old children in the Municipality of Apače and to examine differences in the achieved level of coordination with respect to sex and nutritional status. The theoretical part presents the fundamental concepts of motor development, coordination, the development of coordination in the pre-school age, physical characteristics of children, and an overview of existing research in the specified field. In the empirical part a descriptive, non-experimental causal research method was used. The research sample consisted of 16 children aged 5 to 6 years attending a kindergarten in Apače. Data were collected using the quantitative method; for the measurement of coordination the standardized KTK test (Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder) was used, and nutritional status was measured with the calculation of BMI, WHtR and WHR values. Data were analysed with the t-test for independent samples and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results indicated no statistically significant differences in coordination between the sexes (p > 0.05). Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were observed in KTK test performance with respect to children’s nutritional status, regardless of the indicator used (p > 0.05).
