Abstract:Merjenje zadovoljstva zaposlenih pri delu nas postavi korak bližje odkrivanju, kje je sistem morda odpovedal.

Title:Improving the assessment of employee job satisfaction in company x
Abstract:Measuring employee job satisfaction brings us one step closer to identifying where the system may have failed. The key is being able to address the factors that contribute to employees’ job satisfaction. In the master’s thesis, we upgraded the existing employee job satisfaction survey and its implementation. We identified the shortcomings, developed an improved questionnaire and proposed a different method of implementation. In doing so, we relied on theoretical foundations as well as collaboration with the company X with regard to current topics within departmental groups. The previous survey was uniform across the entire company and did not account for the diversity of work processes among groups of departments, which affected the quality of the collected data and its usefulness for further analysis. The aim was to design a questionnaire in which the initial statements are general and identical for all groups, while the subsequent statements are tailored to individual groups of departments. The new statements were formulated to reflect current challenges and the specific working environments of employees. We also retained the statements from the previous survey and updated them to make them more suitable for the research. One of the proposed improvements was the transition from paper-based to digital surveying, which enables faster and more accurate data processing. However, this approach did not result in a higher response rate in the company in 2026. For this reason, it would be sensible for Company X in the future to focus more on why the numerical response rate was low rather than on the content of the survey questionnaire. When defining the problem, we highlighted that employee satisfaction results in 2025 were lower than expected. It is therefore important to emphasize that, at the level of the entire company X, employee satisfaction between 2025 and 2026 increased by more than 10 percentage points overall.
