Abstract:V magistrski nalogi smo podrobneje predstavili stres in njegove posledice na telo, du-ševne bolezni in metode za premagovanje stresa. Največ vprašanih premaguje stres s fizičnimi aktivnostmi, meditacijo in masažo.

Title:Overcoming stress among slovenian theater actors
Abstract:This master's thesis examines stress from different perspectives: what it does to the body and mind, how it connects to mental health issues, and which approaches can help people cope with it. I mainly focused on natural methods, as many individuals turn to them when everyday pressures become overwhelming. Modern work life often brings constant demands, and people spend most of their days in situations that easily trigger stress. That is why I wanted to present the main stressors more clearly and consider how we can make the work environment a place where people feel better and face fewer stressful situations. Part of the thesis is devoted to the problem of mistreatment at work, including bullying, harassment, and mobbing. These situations can escalate quickly if they are not recognised early, so knowing how to identify them is crucial. It is equally important to pay attention to coworkers who may be experien-cing such behaviour and, when possible to offer help. This thesis provides several ideas on what individuals can do when they are victims or notice such behaviour happening to someone around them. The effects of stress appear on the physical, psychological, and behavioural levels. These effects are described in detail for readers to help re-aders recognise them sooner and more easily. The thesis also covers a range of stress-reducing along with some preventive approaches, as nobody is entirely immune to it stress. These techniques include meditation, yoga, regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, massages, hypnosis, breathing exercises, aromatherapy, and several forms of music therapy. I also briefly present which therapeutic musical instruments are commonly available in Slovenia. Because spending time in nature often brings a sense of ease and renewed energy, I also present the idea of dendrotherapy. This part discusses why trees are believed to have a calming effect, the potential healing pro-perties found in different tree species, and the role of sunlight in supporting both men-tal and physical health. The theoretical framework is supported by a questionnaire that was answered by twenty Slovenian participans. Their answers were analysed and presented in charts and tables. Three of the four hypotheses of this thesis were con-firmed and one was rejected. The results show that all respondents had already faced an unexpected stressful situation at work and that such experiences often influence family relationships. The most common consequences mentioned were sleep pro-blems, lack of motivation, irritability, headaches or migraines, and withdrawing from social interactions. Most respondents cope with stress primarily truogh physical exer-cise, meditation, or massages.
