V kvalitativnem delu smo izvedli polstukturirane intervjuje s štirimi strokovnimi delavkami svetovalne službe ter pridobili vpogled v zaznavanje rabe v šoli, obravnavo primerov in preventivne pristope.

Title:The use of nicotine pouches among secondary school students and its association with independent learning
Abstract:The goal of this Master's thesis was to investigate the prevalence and patterns of nicotine pouch use in high school students and students' perceptions of nicotine/PUPA usage in relation to learning functions during independent study. The theoretical part is related to learning, as it is a multi-structure of thoughts at the cognitive level, through attention/attention to work memory and learning activities and a learning strategy– this is where nicotine impacts are likely to reside, especially during adolescence. The quantitative method involved using an anonymous survey to study people at the school level to understand how to use nicotine pouches, and how frequent/how often are they used and what reasons do they need to try and carry out it and comparing groups based on their perception of nicotine product use, as well as what the students felt they needed to be working their way back from where nicotine was found to be found according to what they were trying this product in learning and learning skills. The qualitative part involved semi-structured interviews with four professional counselling staff members to understand how people think in the school and how they experienced it in practice and at work. There are key insights that data show high prevalence of use is statistically significantly associated with age and school grade. For the first trial, curiosity and peer influence play the most key role, where daily/weekly usage is associated and self-regulation is assessed. No significant differences were found for learning function however, where students with more sophisticated usage patterns (combining products) are more prone to disturbance. There are some qualitative results supported by this research that use is easier to detect, prevent, and seem to be more or less normalized and a shift of a larger part of responsibility for students being involved.
