Abstract:	V magistrskem delu smo raziskovali vpliv medija na zaznavanje, razumevanje in vrednotenje književne osebe pri učencih 5. razreda. Cilj raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kako film oziroma knjiga vplivata na zaznavanje književne osebe, kakšna je vloga metode fokusiranja pri prepoznavanju besedilnih signalov, kako zaznani besedilni signali vplivajo na oblikovanje domišljijske predstave književne osebe ter kako medij in didaktični pristop vplivata na učenčevo vrednotenje književne osebe. V empiričnem delu so bili uporabljeni različni instrumenti, s katerimi je bil pridobljen vpogled v zaznavanje, razumevanje in vrednotenje književne osebe ter v metode fokusiranja. Rezultati kažejo, da učenci, ki so brali literarni odlomek, zaznajo več in bolj raznolike besedilne signale ter književno osebo vizualno bolj raznoliko upodobijo kot učenci, ki so gledali filmski odlomek. Metoda fokusiranja se je izkazala kot učinkovito sredstvo pri vrednotenju književne osebe kot dobre oziroma slabe. Raziskava prispeva k razumevanju pomena ustrezno načrtovanega pouka književnosti po komunikacijskem modelu ter k razumevanju vloge metode fokusiranja, hkrati pa film predstavlja kot uporabno didaktično sredstvo v kombinaciji z literarnim besedilom.

Title:	The influence of the medium on the perception, understanding and evaluation of a literary character among 5th grade students
Abstract:	In the master's thesis, we explored how the medium influences the perception, understanding and evaluation of a literary character among fifth-grade students. The aim of the research was to determine how a film or a book affects the perception of a literary character, what role the focusing method plays in identifying textual signals, how perceived textual signals influence the formation of a mental image of a literary character, and how the medium and the didactic approach affect students' evaluation of a literary character. In the empirical part, various instruments were used to gain insight into the perception, comprehension, and evaluation of the literary character, as well as into the use of the focusing method. The results show that students who read a literary excerpt perceive more and more diverse textual signals and create more varied visual representations of the literary character than students who watched a film excerpt. The focusing method proved to be an effective tool in evaluating a literary character as good or bad. The study contributes to a better understanding of the importance of well-planned literature teaching based on the communicative model, as well as to understanding the role of the focusing method. At the same time, it presents film as a useful didactic tool when combined with literary text.
