Abstract:V magistrskem delu je obravnavana primerjalna analiza pogonskih sklopov mopedov Tomos Automatic A3 in A35 ter dveh sodobnih 50 cm³ skuterjev. Tehnološki prehod v razredu 50 cm³ se izraža predvsem v uporabi štiritaktnih motorjev, elektronskega vbrizga goriva, ločenih mazalnih sistemov, brezstopenjskega prenosa moči in sodobne emisijske opreme. Rezultati ocene emisij CO₂ in primerjalnega preračuna specifičnih emisij potrjujejo, da razvoj v tem segmentu poteka v smeri natančnejšega delovanja, boljših emisijskih lastnosti ter večje prilagojenosti sodobnim tržnim zahtevam.

Title:Comparative analysis of Tomos Automatic A3/A35 powertrains and modern 50 cm3 scooters: technology, emissions estimation and economic-strategic aspects
Abstract:Master’s thesis presents, a comparative analysis of the powertrains of the Tomos Automatic A3 and A35 mopeds and two modern 50 cm³ scooters. The focus is on the technical characteristics of the powertrains, the estimation of CO₂ emissions based on fuel consumption, comparative calculation of specific CO₂ emissions, and the economic-strategic factors that influence technological development in the segment of light motor vehicles. The theoretical part presents the development of mopeds up to 50 cm³, the basic differences between two-stroke and four-stroke engines, mixture preparation and lubrication systems, power transmission, exhaust systems, and the impact of emission requirements on vehicle development. In the analytical part, a unified comparison matrix of criteria is developed for the comparison of the selected models. It is found that the two Tomos models are based on a structurally simple and mechanically transparent two-stroke design, whereas the modern scooters use technically more complex, more emission-efficient, and more user-automated solutions. The technological transition in the 50 cm³ class is mainly reflected in the use of four-stroke engines, electronic fuel injection, separate lubrication systems, continuously variable transmission, and modern emission-control equipment. The results of the CO₂ emissions estimation and the comparative calculation of specific CO₂ emissions confirm that development in this segment is moving towards more precise operation, better emission performance, and greater adaptation to modern market requirements.
