Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava vlogo hamamov (turških kopeli) kot elementa kulturne dediščine in njihove možnosti vključitve v sodobno turistično ponudbo Srbije.

Title:The presence of hammam in the tourist offer of Serbia
Abstract:The thesis deals with the role of hamams (Turkish baths) as an element of cultural heritage and their potential for inclusion in the modern tourist offer of Serbia. The research is based on the finding that, despite their historical, architectural and symbolic value, hamams are today mostly neglected and insufficiently recognized in the context of cultural tourism. The purpose of the research was to analyze the condition of preserved hamams in Serbia, to determine their potential for tourist valorization and to propose strategies for their revitalization and promotion. Methodologically, the research is based on two complementary approaches: a qualitative analysis of the content of tourist promotional materials and a quantitative survey conducted among domestic and foreign tourists. The results show that the presence of hamams in official tourist materials is extremely low, and their function is often poorly explained or completely overlooked. Nevertheless, the surveyed tourists express a high interest in visiting hamams, especially if they are renovated and included in modern wellness or cultural offers. Based on a SWOT analysis and examples of good practices from abroad, the paper offers concrete recommendations for the development of comprehensive tourism strategies that include the restoration of hammams, the establishment of thematic routes, cooperation with local communities and the use of digital tools. The conclusions confirm that hammams in Serbia represent an untapped potential that, with an appropriate approach, could be transformed into a valuable element of sustainable cultural tourism.
