Abstract:	Namen magistrske naloge je preučiti vlogo mladinskih organizacij in organizacij, ki delajo za mlade v Občinah Črna na Koroškem, Mežica, Prevalje in Ravne na Koroškem, s posebnim poudarkom na načinih, po katerih organizacije prepoznavajo in obravnavajo potrebe mladih, izzivih, ki so ob tem prisotni, in njihovem prispevku k izboljšanju življenjskega standarda mladih. Izsledki, ki smo jih pridobili na podlagi analize dokumentov, spletnih strani in družbenih omrežij organizacij, intervjujev s predstavniki mladih iz vsake vključene občine ter fokusno skupino mladih, kažejo, da je mladinski sektor sicer organizacijsko prisoten, a funkcionalno nerazvit. Rezultati kažejo tudi, da je aktivnosti za mlade v analiziranem okolju precej, da pa jim manjkajo jasna usmeritev, namensko delovanje, mehanizmi prepoznavanja potreb mladih in podpora s strani institucij. Izzivi organizacij so predvsem strukturni, denimo nezadostno ali nedostopno financiranje, odvisnost od prostovoljstva in odsotnost širšega konceptualnega razumevanja mladinskega dela. Fokusna skupina z mladimi kaže, da organizacije vsaj delno prispevajo k razvoju družbenega kapitala mladih v lokalnem okolju preko mreženja, razvoja veščin in kompetenc. Mladi izražajo, da tako organizacije kot tudi občine ne razumejo njihovih potreb ali zastopajo njihovih interesov. Kakovost organizacij v posamezni v občini ni samo posledica velikosti in števila njenih organizacij, temveč tudi politične volje in institucionalne infrastrukture, ki oblikujeta pogoje za kakovostno delovanje organizacij. Magistrska naloga pomembno prispeva k razumevanju mladinskega dela na slovenskem podeželju, ki je deležno majhne raziskovalne pozornosti. Izsledki kažejo, da izzivi mladinskega dela niso specifični za analizirano območje, temveč odražajo širše strukturne vzorce, ki so jih potrdile pretekle raziskave tako na nacionalni kot tudi na mednarodni ravni.

Title:	Case study of local youth organisations and organisations working with youth
Abstract:	This master's thesis aimes to explore the role of youth organisations as well as those serving young people in the municipalities of Črna na Koroškem, Mežica, Prevalje, and Ravne na Koroškem. The study focuses on how these organisations identify and address the needs of young people, the challenges they face in doing so, and their contributions to improving the living standards of young people. Based on an analysis of relevant documents, organisational websites, social media, interviews with youth representatives from each participating municipality, as well as a youth focus group, the findings reveal that while the youth sector is otherwise present in an organisational sense, it is functionally underdeveloped. The results indicate that although numerous activities are available for young people in the examined areas, they often lack clear direction, intentional action, and effective mechanisms for assessing youth needs. The challenges of the organisations are mainly structural, insufficient or lacking funding, dependence on volunteering and the absence of a broader conceptual understanding of youth work. The focus is on the production of the material, and the organisations at least partially contribute to the development of young people's social capital in the local environment through networking and the development of skills and competences. Young people express that both organisations and municipalities do not understand their needs or represent their interests.The quality of organisations in an individual municipality is not only a consequence of the size and number of its organisations, but also of the political will and institutional infrastructure that create the conditions for the quality operation of organisations. The master's thesis significantly contributes to understanding youth work in rural Slovenia, an area that has received little research attention. The results show that the challenges of youth work are not specific to the analysed area but reflect broader structural patterns confirmed by past research at both the national and international levels.
