Title:Regular annual interviews at the murska sobota general hospital
Abstract:Regular annual performance reviews were introduced into the Slovenian public sector through the Public Employees Act and have, through practice, proven to be an effective tool for human resource management. In the theoretical part, the thesis defines regular annual performance reviews and presents their purpose and benefits. It also addresses the training of managers, which is essential for regular annual performance reviews to be beneficial for employees, managers, and the organisation, highlights the areas important for the successful implementation of regular annual performance reviews, and identifies shortcomings in their implementation. In the empirical part, a survey on the implementation of regular annual performance reviews is conducted among managers at General Hospital Murska Sobota. Based on the results, it was established that the understanding of the importance of regular annual performance reviews among managers needs to be improved, as these reviews represent an important tool for staff development, employee career guidance, and the enhancement of work performance. At the same time, annual training for managers in the field of conducting regular annual performance reviews, communication skills, and providing feedback should be introduced, together with the establishment of uniform and clear guidelines for conducting annual performance reviews and the introduction of their electronic implementation.
