Abstract:	V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali, katere kompetence mladi dojemajo kot pomembne za uspeh v svoji karieri v današnjem delovnem okolju in v delovnem okolju prihodnosti. Želeli smo ugotoviti, kakšen pogled imajo mladi na kompetence in kako ocenjujejo razvitost lastnih kompetenc. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili definicije kompetenc, sledil je pregled teorije, povezane s predvidenimi potrebnimi kompetencami v prihodnosti, nato pa smo obravnavali še povezanost mladih in kompetenc. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli raziskavo s pomočjo spletne ankete med posamezniki, starimi med 15 in 30 let. Anketo je izpolnilo 110 mladih iz različnih okolij, kar je zadostovalo za raziskavo. Ugotovili smo, da mladi kot najpomembnejše kompetence ocenjujejo komunikacijo, prilagodljivost, digitalne kompetence, kritično razmišljanje, reševanje problemov, inovativnost, odgovornost in zanesljivost. Ugotovitve so lahko v pomoč mladim, saj omogočajo vpogled v to, katere kompetence so ključne in na katerih področjih se morajo še razvijati. Ugotovitve prav tako ponujajo izobraževalnim institucijam in delodajalcem vpogled v to, kaj lahko pričakujejo od mladih ter katera področja bo pri njih treba še dodatno razvijati.

Title:	Young people and the skills of the future
Abstract:	In the thesis, we explored which skills young people perceive as important for success in their careers in today's work environment and in the work environment of the future. We aimed to determine how young people view skills and how they assess the development of their own skills. In the theoretical part, we presented definitions of skills, followed by a review of theories related to the anticipated skills needed in the future, and then the connection between young people and skills. In the empirical part, we conducted a study using an online survey among individuals aged 15 to 30. The survey was completed by 110 young people from various backgrounds, which was sufficient for the research. We found that young people consider communication, adaptability, digital skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, responsibility, and reliability to be the most important skills. The findings can help young people gain insight into which skills are key and which areas they still need to develop. They also provide educational institutions and employers with insight into what they can expect from young people and which areas may require further development.
