Abstract:Laktozna intoleranca predstavlja eno najpogostejših oblik prehranske intolerance, ki pomembno vpliva na kakovost življenja posameznikov ter omejuje uživanje mlečnih izdelkov, pomembnih virov kalcija, vitaminov in beljakovin. Mednarodno znanstveno združenje za probiotike opredeljuje probiotike kot žive mikroorganizme, ki pozitivno učinkujejo na zdravje gostitelja, kadar jih apliciramo v ustreznih količinah. Namen zaključnega dela je bil raziskati vpliv probiotikov na celostno zdravstveno stanje posameznika z laktozno intoleranco.

Title:The effect of probiotics on lactose intolerance
Abstract:Lactose intolerance is one of the most common forms of food intolerance, which significantly affects the quality of life of individuals, and limits the consumption of dairy products, important sources of calcium, vitamins and proteins. The International Scientific Association for Probiotics defines probiotics as live microorganisms, that when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the impact of probiotics on the overall health status of an individual with lactose intolerance.
