Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava zaznavanje in sprejemanje inteligentne embalaže med potrošniki v Sloveniji.

Title:Consumer perception and acceptance of intelligent packaging
Abstract:The thesis deals with the perception and acceptance of intelligent packaging among consumers in Slovenia. It consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part first defines the concept of packaging and presents its basic functions and divisions. The concept of intelligent packaging, its role in modern supply chains, and the differences between intelligent, active, and smart packaging are also discussed. The basic building blocks of intelligent packaging, such as sensors, indicators, data carriers, and digital communication technologies, are also presented, along with selected examples of their practical use in various industries around the world. The empirical part is based on a quantitative survey conducted through an online questionnaire among Slovenian consumers. The purpose of the research was to determine the level of knowledge about intelligent packaging, consumer attitudes towards its functions, and their willingness to buy and pay a higher price for products in such packaging. The results showed that the general level of knowledge about intelligent packaging is relatively low, but consumers still express positive attitudes towards individual functions, especially when they are related to ensuring food safety and quality.
