Title:Otrok z motnjo zavesti in naloge medicinske sestre v enoti za intenzivno terapijo

Abstract:Vsaka motnja zavesti pomeni motnjo v delovanju osrednjega živčevja, kjer je tudi sedež nadzora delovanja osnovnih življenjskih funkcij. Zato motnja zavesti pomeni resno in potencialno življenje ogrožajoče stanje, ki zahteva hitro ukrepanje. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti obravnavo otroka z motnjo zavesti in vlogo ter naloge medicinske sestre pri otroku z motnjo zavesti v Enoti intenzivne terapije. V raziskavi smo ugotovili, da ima negovalno osebje Enote intenzivne terapije in Otroške kirurgije dovolj specifičnega znanja za delo z otroki z motnjo zavesti. Standarde aktivnosti zdravstvene nege večina anketirancev uporablja le včasih, vsi pa nudijo pomoč staršem pri soočanju z otrokovim stanjem, pri delu v enoti intenzivne terapije pa so tudi zelo psihično obremenjeni.

Title:A child with consciousness disorders and the role of a nurse in the intensive therapy unit
Abstract:Every state of disturbed consciousness means disturbed function of central nervus system. The central nervus system is also place of highest control of vital functiones. Therefore each disturbance of consciosness means potentialy life threating condition and calls for emergent action. The purpose of this diploma is to present the treatment of children with disturbance of consciousness and the role of a nurse working with those children in the Intensive Therapy Unit. In the following research we have established that the nursing staff of the Intensive Therapy Unit and the Pediatric Surgery Unit has enough specific knowledge to work with children with the disturbance of consciousness. Most of the people we inquired about the standards of health care activities rarely use the standards, but everybody offers to help the parents while confronting their children’s condition. We also ascertained that working in Intensive Therapy Unit is psychically burdening.
