Abstract:V diplomskem delu obravnavamo problem izbire najprimernejšega pogona osebnega vozila, namenjenega usposabljanju kandidatov v šoli vožnje. Analytic hierarchy process; v nadaljevanju: AHP), s katero smo strukturirano ovrednotili pet pogonskih alternativ: bencinski, dizelski, utekočinjeni naftni plin (angl. Liquefied Petroleum Gas; v nadaljevanju: LPG), hibridni in električni pogon. Na podlagi parnih primerjav kriterijev in alternativ smo izračunali uteži ter končne prioritete posameznih pogonov. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da imajo v kontekstu šole vožnje največjo težo pedagoški kriteriji, sledijo operativni in stroškovni vidiki, medtem ko imata okoljski in družbeno-psihološki vidik manjši vpliv.

Title:Applying a multi-criteria decision model to select the optimal passenger car engine type for a driving school
Abstract:This thesis examines the problem of selecting the most suitable powertrain for a driving-school training vehicle. Modern vehicles employ various propulsion systems that differ in technical, economic, pedagogical, and environmental characteristics. Due to the complexity of the decision-making process, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (hereafter: AHP) was applied to systematically evaluate five alternatives: petrol, diesel, LPG, hybrid, and electric powertrains. Pairwise comparisons of criteria and alternatives were used to calculate weights and determine the final ranking of options. The results show that pedagogical aspects have the highest influence in the context of driving-school training, followed by operational and cost factors, while environmental and socio-psychological aspects play a smaller role. Petrol and diesel engines ranked as the most appropriate choices, as they support teaching manual gear shifting and provide high operational reliability. LPG ranked third, whereas hybrid and electric powertrains received lower scores due to pedagogical restrictions and operational limitations. The findings confirm that AHP is an effective tool for structured decision-making in driving schools and offer guidance for future strategic fleet planning.
