| Abstract: | This master’s thesis focuses on enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, their characteristics, selection, and implementation in companies. The theoretical part presents the fundamental concepts of ERP systems, their historical development, and the main functionalities that modern ERP solutions provide to organizations. The advantages and disadvantages of ERP systems, different types of ERP solutions, and modern trends in business digitalization, such as cloud solutions, mobility, and the integration of artificial intelligence into business processes, are also discussed. Furthermore, the process of selecting an ERP provider and the strategies for ERP implementation in organizations are presented.
The theoretical part also includes an overview of selected ERP solution providers, including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, and ERPNext. The comparison of these solutions is based on their functionalities, flexibility, and suitability for different types of companies.
Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of the local ERP solution IPSPlus, developed by InIn d.o.o. The thesis presents the main characteristics of the system, its areas of application, functionalities, and advantages for companies. In the empirical part of the thesis, the implementation and use of the IPSPlus solution and its impact on business operations are analyzed through the case study of a micro-enterprise. The analysis includes the company’s situation before the implementation of the ERP system, the process of selecting the appropriate solution, the implementation process itself, and the use of the system after implementation.
Based on the conducted analysis, the effects of ERP system implementation on the company’s operations are evaluated, particularly from the perspective of business transparency, process efficiency, and the adaptability of the system to the company’s needs. The concluding part of the thesis verifies the proposed hypotheses and presents the main research findings, the limitations of the study, and possibilities for further research in the field of ERP solutions in micro and small enterprises. |
