Abstract:	Magistrsko delo obravnava primerjavo uporabniških zgodb in tradicionalnega inženiringa zahtev v razvoju programske opreme. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene značilnosti, prednosti in slabosti obeh pristopov ter njihov vpliv na proces razvoja programske opreme. Empirični del temelji na kvantitativni raziskavi, izvedeni s pomočjo spletne ankete med zaposlenimi v IT-podjetjih v Sloveniji. Rezultati kažejo, da so anketiranci v pogojih večje negotovosti zahtev in pri manjših projektih pogosteje bolj naklonjeni uporabi uporabniških zgodb, medtem ko se tradicionalni inženiring zahtev izkazuje kot primernejši za večje in dolgoročne projekte. Ugotovitve potrjujejo, da se v praksi pogosto uporabljajo hibridni pristopi, ki združujejo elemente obeh metod. Delo prispeva k boljšemu razumevanju izbire ustreznega pristopa glede na projektni kontekst.

Title:	Comparative analysis of user stories and traditional requirements engineering
Abstract:	This master’s thesis examines the comparison between user stories and traditional requirements engineering in software development. The theoretical part outlines the main characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of both approaches, as well as their impact on the software development process. The empirical part is based on a quantitative study conducted among employees of IT companies in Slovenia. The results indicate that respondents tend to favour the use of user stories in situations characterized by greater requirements uncertainty and in smaller projects, while traditional requirements engineering is considered more suitable for larger and long-term projects. The findings confirm that hybrid approaches, which combine elements of both methods, are frequently used in practice. The thesis contributes to a better understanding of how to select an appropriate approach based on the specific project context.
