Abstract:Uvod: Psihično nasilje nad medicinskimi sestrami v kirurškem okolju predstavlja pomemben delovni problem, ki negativno vpliva na dobrobit zaposlenih, kakovost zdravstvene nege in stabilnost kadra. Prispevki so bili analizirani s tematsko vsebinsko analizo in razvrščeni v ključne tematske sklope. Na organizacijski ravni prispeva k slabši delovni klimi in pogostejšemu razmišljanju o menjavi delovnega mesta. Razprava in zaključek: Psihično nasilje ima resne posledice za zaposlene in delovanje kirurških oddelkov, zato so potrebni celostni preventivni in intervencijski ukrepi za krepitev psihološke varnosti in ničelne tolerance do nasilja.

Title:Consequences of psychological violence against nurses in surgical departments
Abstract:Introduction: Psychological violence against nurses in surgical settings represent a significant occupational problem that negatively affects employees' well‑being, the quality of nursing care, and workforce stability. The aim of this literature review was to identify the prevalence, forms, and consequences of psychological violence, as well as the related contributing factors. Methods: A review of scientific literature was conducted, including quantitative, qualitative, and review studies addressing psychological violence in surgical settings. The selected studies were analysed using thematic content analysis and organized into key thematic categories. Results: The findings indicate that nurses are frequently exposed to verbal abuse, humiliation, threats, and other forms of psychological pressure perpetrated by patients, relatives, and colleagues. Exposure to violence is associated with increased anxiety, emotional exhaustion, impaired concentration, symptoms of post‑traumatic stress, and a higher risk of work‑related errors. At the organizational level, psychological violence contributes to a poorer work climate and an increased intention to leave the workplace. Discussion and Conclusion: Psychological violence has serious consequences for both employees and the functioning of surgical departments. Therefore comprehensive preventive and intervention measures are required to strengthen psychological safety and implement a zero‑tolerance approach to violence.
