Literaturo smo iskali v naslednjih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate in Web of Science.

Title:The impact of stigma on quality of life in patients with schizophrenia
Abstract:Introduction: The stigmatization of mental disorders is a common problem that greatly affects the daily lives of people with schizophrenia. Negative prejudices and discrimination reduce social inclusion, self-esteem, and access to adequate health care. As a result, the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia is often significantly reduced. The aim of this thesis was to investigate how stigmatisation affects the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia, based on a review of the literature. Method: A descriptive method was used. We searched for literature in the following databases: PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, and Web of Science. We used articles that were no older than 10 years and those written in English. A literature review was performed using the PRISMA diagram. Results: We included nine studies in our final work that examined the impact of stigmatisation on the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. All studies found that stigmatisation had a negative impact on the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. Discussion and conclusion: It has been shown that stigmatisation (especially internalised stigma) affects the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. In the future, it will be necessary to focus on social interventions that reduce the stigma associated with these patients.
