Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava globoke ponaredke kot izrazit pojav sodobnega digitalnega okolja, ki pomembno vpliva na družbo, varnost in pravni red ter hkrati predstavlja vse pomembnejši dejavnik kibernetskega kriminala. Izhodišče raziskave je spoznanje, da hiter razvoj umetne inteligence omogoča ustvarjanje izjemno realističnih avdiovizualnih vsebin, zaradi česar posamezniki pogosto niso sposobni razlikovati med resničnimi in ponarejenimi informacijami, kar vodi v erozijo zaupanja, širjenje dezinformacij in povečano ranljivost družbenih ter demokratičnih procesov. Globoki ponaredki predstavljajo specifično grožnjo kibernetski varnosti, saj ne delujejo primarno na ravni tehnične infrastrukture, temveč vplivajo na dojemanje digitalnih informacij in zaupanje uporabnikov, kar jih povezuje z novimi oblikami kaznivih dejanj, kot so socialni inženiring, finančne prevare, izsiljevanje in zlorabe identitete. V Republiki Sloveniji se globoki ponaredki trenutno obravnavajo predvsem posredno v okviru splošnih pravil kazenskega prava, varstva osebnih podatkov in kibernetske varnosti, kar poudarja pomen nadaljnjega razvoja celovitega in uravnoteženega pristopa za soočenje s tem rastočim varnostnim in družbenim izzivom.

Title:Deepfakes and cybersecurity
Abstract:This bachelor’s thesis examines deepfakes as a prominent phenomenon of the contemporary digital environment that significantly affects society, security, and the legal order, while simultaneously becoming an increasingly important factor in cybercrime. The starting point of the research is the recognition that the rapid development of artificial intelligence enables the creation of highly realistic audiovisual content, which often prevents individuals from distinguishing between authentic and manipulated information, thereby leading to an erosion of trust, the spread of disinformation, and increased vulnerability of social and democratic processes. Deepfakes represent a specific threat to cybersecurity, as they do not primarily operate at the level of technical infrastructure but rather influence the perception of digital information and user trust. As such, they are closely linked to emerging forms of criminal activity, including social engineering, financial fraud, extortion and identity abuse. In the Republic of Slovenia, deepfakes are currently addressed primarily indirectly within the framework of general rules of criminal law, personal data protection, and cybersecurity. This highlights the importance of further developing a comprehensive and balanced approach to addressing this growing security and societal challenge.
