Namen zaključnega dela je bil identificirati, pregledati in analizirati obseg in naravo raziskav o izkušnjah medicinskih sester v vlogi druge žrtve s strategijami in programi podpore zdravstvenim delavcem. Metode: Izvedli smo »scoping« pregled pregledov literature v podatkovnih bazah MEDLINE (EBSCOhost), CINHAL Ultimate (EBSCOhost), Embase, Science Direct in Web of Science ter dodatno v referencah preglednih člankih. Moč dokazov smo ocenili s pomočjo hierarhije dokazov po modelu Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice. Sintezo rezultatov smo prikazali opisno.

Title:Phenomenon of second victim nurses' experiences of support programmes
Abstract:Introduction: Involvement in and exposure to a safety incident have a significant impact on the healthcare workers involved, who may experience extreme personal and professional distress following the event, leading to the phenomenon of second victim. The aim was to identify, review, and analyze the scope and nature of research on nurses’ experiences in the role of second victims as well as strategies and support programs for healthcare professionals. Methods: We conducted a scoping review of literature reviews in MEDLINE (EBSCOhost), CINHAL Ultimate (EBSCOhost), Embase, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science databases, as well as in the reference lists of review articles. We assessed the strength of the evidence using the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice hierarchy. We presented a descriptive synthesis of the results. Results: We included 11 reviews in the final analysis. The results of the study indicate that nurses’ experiences as bystanders are not solely related to their individual perceptions of safety incidents, but are also strongly linked to support from colleagues, management responses, and the organizational culture of healthcare institutions. Therefore, a systemic and proactive approach by healthcare organizations is crucial, with support for other victims integral to safety culture and learning. Discussion and conclusion: Nurses are an indispensable part of the healthcare system, and it is important that they receive constructive feedback, a sense of acceptance, and support when dealing with safety incidents.
