Potrebne so nadaljnje raziskave o dolgoročnih učinkih tovrstnih intervencij.

Title:Mindfulness as a strategy for managing stress and preventing burnout among healthcare professionals
Abstract:Healthcare workers are frequently exposed to high levels of occupational stress and are at significant risk of developing burnout due to the demanding nature of their work. This negatively affects both their mental health and the quality of patient care. Mindfulness, as an approach based on intentionally directing attention to the present experience, is increasingly recognized as an effective method for managing these occupational burdens. A literature review was conducted in the PubMed, CINAHL, and ScienceDirect databases. Following the application of predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, ten studies published between 2016 and 2026 were included in the final analysis. All of the analyzed studies demonstrated that mindfulness-based interventions significantly reduce perceived stress, emotional exhaustion, and burnout symptoms among healthcare workers, while also improving psychological well-being and resilience. Mindfulness-based interventions represent an effective and practically feasible approach to protecting the mental health of healthcare workers. Their systematic implementation in healthcare organizations is recommended, along with the integration of mindfulness content into educational programs. Further research on the long-term effects of such interventions is needed.
