Abstract:Uvod: Spiritualna oskrba je ključen element celostne zdravstvene obravnave, vendar je njeno vključevanje v izobraževalne programe študentov zdravstvene nege pogosto nezadostno. Identificirali smo več izobraževalnih pristopov, in sicer refleksijo, izkustveno učenje, klinično praksa in uporabo standardiziranih orodij. Razprava in zaključek: Rezultati potrjujejo nujnost vključevanja spiritualne oskrbe v dodiplomske in podiplomske študijske programe zdravstvene nege.

Title:Nursing students´ education about spiritual care
Abstract:Introduction: Spiritual care is a key element of holistic healthcare, yet its integration into nursing education programs is often inadequate. The purpose of this master’s thesis was to review the scientific literature on the education of nursing students in the field of spiritual care. Methods: A literature review was conducted in the PubMed, CINAHL, Wiley Online Library, and Google Scholar databases. A descriptive approach was used. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using JBI tools. We used narrative synthesis to analyze the collected data. Results: A total of 16 studies were included in the final analysis. The findings indicate that education in spiritual care enhances competencies, self-confidence, empathy, and the ability to identify patients’ spiritual needs. We identified several educational approaches, namely reflection, experiential learning, clinical practice, and the use of standardized tools. Discussion and Conclusion: The results confirm the need to incorporate spiritual care into undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. To ensure high-quality and holistic patient care, it is essential to systematically develop students’ competencies in the field of spiritual care.
