Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava obremenilno preizkušnjo viadukta Jenina, ki je del severnega odseka Tretje razvojne osi.

Title:Stress test of Jenina viaduct
Abstract:This master's thesis presents the load testing of the Jenina Viaduct, which is part of the northern section of the Third Development Axis in Slovenia. The main objective of the study was to verify the actual structural behaviour of the viaduct under static and dynamic loading conditions and to compare the measured responses with the results obtained from a numerical model. The thesis provides an overview of modern viaduct construction methods, testing procedures, and measurement techniques used for determining structural displacements and dynamic response. Both geodetic and electronic measurement methods were employed, including inductive displacement transducers, accelerometers, and total stations. In addition, a three-dimensional numerical model of the structure was developed using the finite element method. The results of the load test demonstrated a good agreement between the measured and calculated values of displacements and dynamic characteristics. The analysis confirmed the validity of the design assumptions and highlighted the importance of experimental verification in assessing the safety, serviceability, and reliability of bridge structures. The study contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between theoretical modelling and the actual behaviour of bridge structures and confirms the significance of load testing in modern structural engineering.
