Abstract:Z naraščajočo kompleksnostjo sodobnih industrijskih okolij tradicionalni operaterski vmesniki vse pogosteje ne zagotavljajo pravočasnih in ustreznih informacij med spremljanjem procesov.

Title:Augmented reality for enhanced operator support in SCADA control systems
Abstract:With the increasing complexity of modern industrial environments, traditional operator interfaces increasingly fail to provide timely and relevant information during process monitoring. In the context of Industry 5.0, a proposed solution to these limitations is the use of augmented reality to display process data and guided maintenance instructions directly within the operator's field of view in real time. The master's thesis presents the development of an Android application using the Unity development environment, including the creation of custom graphical objects and spatial mapping to support environmental understanding. It also investigates communication methods for retrieving data from PLC devices for use within the application. The resulting application visualizes industrial processes in real time by overlaying digital content onto real-world images. It also supports the handling of process errors and provides the operator with step-by-step instructions to facilitate problem solving. Finally, the possibility of using AR glasses is explored. The resulting system demonstrates the potential of augmented reality to improve response times, reduce operator errors and lay the foundation for the next generation of smart industrial interfaces.
