Abstract:Finančna pismenost poslovodnikov predstavlja pomemben dejavnik uspešnega poslovanja malih in srednje velikih podjetij, saj vpliva na razumevanje finančnih informacij in sprejemanje kakovostnih poslovnih odločitev. Diplomsko delo obravnava finančno pismenost poslovodnikov malih in srednje velikih podjetij, njeno vlogo pri poslovnem odločanju in povezanost z zaznano poslovno uspešnostjo podjetij.

Title:Financial literacy of managers in small and medium-sized enterprises and business performance
Abstract:Financial literacy of managers is an important factor in the successful operation of small and medium-sized enterprises, as it influences the understanding of financial information and the quality of business decision-making. This bachelor's thesis addresses the financial literacy of managers in small and medium-sized enterprises, its role in business decision-making, and its relationship with the perceived business performance of enterprises. It presents the key theoretical findings in the fields of financial literacy and business decision-making, as well as the results of a survey conducted among managers of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovenia. The results indicate that most surveyed managers assess their financial knowledge as good and frequently use accounting and other financial information when making business decisions. The majority of respondents also evaluate the business performance of their enterprises positively. The findings confirm the importance of financial literacy for effective business decision-making and successful business management. However, due to the small and non-representative sample, the findings cannot be generalized to the entire population of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovenia.
