Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava selektivno razkrivanje parametrov preverljivih poverilnic v kontekstu decentraliziranih identitet. Raziskuje implementacijo takšnih sistemov z uporabo ničelno spoznavnih dokazov (ZKP) in brez njih. Teoretični del predstavi koncepte samoupravljanih identitet (SSI), decentraliziranih identifikatorjev (DID) in preverljivih poverilnic (VC) ter analizira različne pristope selektivnega razkrivanja, vključno z atomarnimi poverilnicami, zgoščenimi vrednostmi in podpisi BBS+.

Title:Selective disclosure of verifiable credential parameters with and without the use of zero-knowledge proofs
Abstract:This master's thesis addresses selective disclosure of verifiable credential parameters in decentralized identity contexts. It investigates implementing such systems with and without zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP). The theoretical part presents concepts of self-sovereign identities (SSI), decentralized identifiers (DID), and verifiable credentials (VC), analyzing various selective disclosure approaches including atomic credentials, hashed values, and BBS+ signatures. The practical part developed a functional solution for issuing, using, and verifying digital identification documents. Comparative analysis showed that non-ZKP methods achieve better time efficiency, while ZKP approaches provide higher privacy levels. Results confirm all three hypotheses: complete selective disclosure implementation is possible, solutions without ZKP are feasible, and the system is efficient and scalable. A single server could issue credentials for all Slovenian residents in five hours. This research advances decentralized identities and provides practical implementation guidelines.
