Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava vpliv optičnih konfiguracij na natančnost dimenzijskih meritev s strojnim vidom. Nepravilna kalibracija lahko povzroči sistematične napake, medtem ko optimalna osvetlitev izboljša kakovost zajetih slik in zanesljivost rezultatov. Analiza eksperimentalnih podatkov omogoča boljše razumevanje merilnih negotovosti in ponovljivosti sistema.

Title:The influence of optical configurations on the accuracy of dimensional measurements using machine vision
Abstract:The master's thesis examines the influence of optical configurations on the accuracy of dimensional measurements using machine vision. The main objective of the research is to develop a machine vision system for automated dimensional measurements and to analyze the measurement efficiency across different optical configurations. The study considers two optical configurations of a matrix camera, using an entocentric lens and a telecentric lens. Special emphasis is placed on analyzing the influence of illumination, calibration, the optical system, the position of the object within the camera’s field of view, and its distance from the camera on measurement accuracy and system repeatability. The system was implemented in the NI VISION Builder development environment and tested on real objects, with measurements compared to conventional methods. The research results confirm that the choice of optical configuration significantly affects the accuracy of dimensional measurements. Improper calibration can lead to systematic errors, whereas optimal lighting improves image quality and measurement reliability. The analysis of experimental data provides a better understanding of measurement uncertainties and system repeatability.
