Title:Digital transformation as a driver of innovation in the business model of a small company based on the example of studio ona
Abstract:Digital transformation has today become a relevant topic not only for large corporations but also for small and one-person companies. This thesis examines digital transformation as a driver of business model innovation using the example of Studio ONA, Nika Orož s.p., a young architectural company based in Lovrenc na Pohorju. The theoretical part presents the fundamental concepts of digital transformation, the challenges and opportunities faced by small companies, and the Business Model Canvas tool, which allows for a systematic representation and redesign of a business model. The thesis also presents concrete digital tools that are affordable and technically accessible to one-person companies, ranging from websites and booking systems to customer management tools and digital marketing. The practical part presents the current state of Studio ONA's digital presence through an analysis of its website, social media profiles, and an interview with the owner. The Business Model Canvas tool is used to present the existing business model, while a SWOT analysis assesses the company's digital potential. Based on the findings, a redesigned business model is proposed, along with a concrete, step-by-step plan for implementing digital solutions adapted to the circumstances of a one-person company. The results show that Studio ONA has a clearly recognisable offering and design style, but lacks the digital strategy that would turn this potential into customers and revenue across Slovenia, not only in the local community
