Abstract:Monografija Med ponudbo in povpraševanjem: konkurenčnost kreativno-trajnostnih turističnih destinacij celovito obravnava dejavnike, ki oblikujejo dolgoročno konkurenčnost sodobnih turističnih destinacij.

Title:Between supply and demand : the competitiveness of creative-sustainable tourism destinations
Abstract:The monograph Between Supply and Demand: The Competitiveness of Creative-Sustainable Tourism Destinations provides a comprehensive examination of the factors that shape the long-term competitiveness of contemporary tourism destinations. Particular attention is devoted to gastronomy, sustainability, creativity, cultural heritage, local identity, destination management, tourism providers’ business models, and visitors’ behavior and perceptions. The publication integrates supply-side and demand-side perspectives and demonstrates that competitiveness depends not only on the availability of natural, cultural, and gastronomic resources, but above all on the ability to thoughtfully manage, connect, and transform them into high-quality, authentic, and marketable experiences. The individual chapters combine theoretical discussions, qualitative and quantitative research, and examples of best practices from Slovenia and abroad. The monograph thus offers a multi-perspective insight into the development of destinations that seek to be competitive, responsible, locally rooted, and development-oriented at the same time.
Keywords:tourism destination competitiveness, creatively sustainable tourism, gastronomy, destination management, tourism supply and demand
