Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava vpliv digitalizacije prodajnega procesa na poslovanje družinskega podjetja. Diplomsko delo tako povezuje teoretična izhodišča s konkretnim primerom podjetja in omogoča vpogled v proces uvajanja digitalnih rešitev v prodajo manjšega družinskega podjetja.

Title:The impact of sales process digitalization on the performance of a family business: a case study
Abstract:This thesis examines the impact of the digitalization of the sales process on the operations of a family business. Digitalization is becoming an important part of modern business, as it is transforming sales methods, communication with customers, and the organization of individual business activities. The thesis presents the theoretical foundations of digitization, the sales process, and family businesses, as well as the importance of digital solutions in the development of sales channels. The applied section is based on a case study of a selected Slovenian family business that is in the process of digitalizing its sales process. It examines the reasons for launching an online store, changes in work organization, the development of sales channels, the accessibility of the product offering, and further opportunities for the company’s digital development. The research findings indicate that the launch of the online store has increased the accessibility of the product range, provided an additional sales channel, and contributed to acquiring new customers. Since the digitization of the company’s sales process is still in its early stages, its long-term impact on sales results and business efficiency cannot yet be reliably assessed. This thesis thus combines theoretical foundations with a concrete case study of the company and provides insight into the process of implementing digital solutions in the sales operations of a small family-owned business.
