Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava uvedbo sistema poslovnega poročanja z uporabo platforme Power BI v srednje velikem slovenskem gradbenem podjetju X. Podjetje deluje v panogi, kjer so poslovni procesi izrazito projektno naravnani, podatki pa nastajajo v več informacijskih virih, med katerimi imajo najpomembnejšo vlogo Orka ERP, SQL baze, DMS, PGN, Xpert kalkulacije in saldakontne evidence. Pred uvedbo Power BI je poročanje temeljilo na Excel preglednicah, delnih SQL izpisih in Report Builder poročilih, kar je povzročalo časovne zamike, podvajanje dela in omejeno preglednost ključnih kazalnikov. V teoretičnem delu so obravnavani razvoj poslovnega poročanja, digitalna transformacija, poslovna inteligenca, nadzorne plošče, podatkovna skladišča, OLTP in OLAP sistemi, ETL procesi ter modeliranje podatkov za potrebe poročanja. Empirični del je zasnovan kot študija primera razvoja Power BI nadzornih plošč za spremljanje izkaza poslovnega izida, EBIT, EBITDA, projektne profitabilnosti, terjatev, obveznosti in likvidnostnega položaja podjetja. Rezultati kažejo, da uvedba Power BI izboljša preglednost poslovanja, zmanjša ročno pripravo poročil in omogoča bolj kakovostno podporo upravljavskemu odločanju.

Title:Implementation of Power BI reports in company X
Abstract:The master's thesis examines the implementation of a business reporting system using Microsoft Power BI in a medium-sized Slovenian construction company, referred to as Company X. The company operates in a project-oriented business environment where data is generated across several information systems, including Orka ERP, SQL databases, DMS, contract and purchase order records, Xpert calculation tools and receivables and payables ledgers. Prior to the implementation, reporting relied on Excel spreadsheets, partial SQL reports and Report Builder outputs, resulting in time-consuming preparation, fragmented data and limited visibility of key performance indicators. The theoretical part discusses the evolution of business reporting, digital transformation, business intelligence, dashboards, data warehouses, OLTP and OLAP systems, ETL processes and data modelling for reporting purposes. The empirical part is designed as a case study of developing Power BI dashboards for monitoring the income statement, EBIT, EBITDA, project profitability, receivables, payables and liquidity. The findings indicate that Power BI improves reporting transparency, reduces manual reporting work and enhances management decision support.
