Title:Quality management and the impact of iso standard 9001 implementation on the operational efficiency of a company
Abstract:The thesis examines the impact of ISO 9001 standard implementation on the operational efficiency of a company, focusing on how employees perceive changes in the organization of work processes, personal productivity, and quality culture following its introduction. The aim of the research was to determine how the ISO 9001 standard affects process standardization, the allocation of responsibilities, employees' personal productivity, and the company's quality culture. The results of a structured interview with ten employees showed that the standard contributed to clearer standardization of work processes and allocation of responsibilities, while its impact on error reduction was less pronounced. It was found that the standard has a two-sided effect on personal productivity, as it contributes to greater transparency and consistency in work on one hand, while bringing additional administrative burden on the other. The standard also clearly contributed to strengthening the quality culture, employee awareness, and management support, despite a concurrent resistance stemming from increased formalization. The thesis highlights the importance of the standard's genuine, internalized use in practice, digitalization of documentation, and employee involvement for the successful functioning of the quality management system.
