Abstract:Dimnikarske storitve imajo pomembno vlogo pri zagotavljanju varnega in učinkovitega delovanja kurilnih naprav, njihovo izvajanje pa zahteva dobro organizacijo terenskega dela in ustrezno načrtovanje dnevnih poti. Učinkovito razporejanje obiskov vpliva na izrabo delovnega časa, stroške izvajanja storitev in zadovoljstvo uporabnikov. Diplomsko delo obravnava načrtovanje terenskih poti v podjetju Dimnikarstvo Savinja d. o. o.

Title:Optimization of field route planning in chimney sweeping services
Abstract:Chimney sweeping services play an important role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heating systems. Their provision requires effective organization of fieldwork and appropriate planning of daily routes. Efficient scheduling of customer visits affects the use of working time, service delivery costs, and customer satisfaction. The thesis examines field route planning at Dimnikarstvo Savinja d. o. o. The analysis of the existing situation showed that route planning is primarily based on annual schedules, employees’ experience, and ongoing adjustments to daily plans. Travel time, service duration, traffic conditions, and customers’ time requirements are not always taken into account, which may result in unnecessary travel and time losses. To improve the planning process, we developed a practical model using Microsoft Excel, Google Maps, and Spoke (Circuit). The model enables more transparent scheduling of customer visits, optimization of the sequence of visits, and consideration of key time constraints. The proposed solution was tested using real company data. The results showed reductions in travel distance, travel time, and fuel costs, as well as more efficient organization of the working day. A customer survey also highlighted the importance of punctual arrivals and effective time management in service delivery.
